What is natural skin care?

Natural skin care contains ingredients which are derived from the earth with no synthetic compounds.   The skin is the largest organ of our body and it absorbs up to 60% of the ingredients in the products we apply. Some of the most common synthetics include parabens and SLS which have been recognised to cause irritation in some people and may have damaging effects longer-term.

What are essential oils?

Essential oils are natural oils from plants, trees or fruit which are extracted through distillation. We use 100% pure, essential oils with no additives. Each essential oil has a distinct fragrance, different benefits for the skin and can elevate your way of life.

How long will my products last?

They can last up to 12 months unopened but once open up to 6-8 months. We recommend using clean hands when applying, store in a cool, dark place and/or away from sunlight.

Why has the oil separated from the cream?

This is perfectly normal. All our products are natural, and in the world of handmade products there will always be a little bit of variation. We do not use any chemical stabilisers, mineral oils and sometimes the ingredients can occasionally separate. Rest assured there is nothing wrong with your product, mix it with your clean finger tips and it should be ready to use.

Why is my cream so thick and oily?

This is good as most products out there contain a lot of water, ours is mostly the actual ingredient that you want! We recommend a quick warm up of the cream between your fingers before application, as a little goes a long way. Wait 10-15 minutes before applying make-up.

Why is my product melting?

Since the ingredients are so raw, it will melt under hot environments or temperatures above 30 degrees Celsius. Rest assured, the quality of the product is not spoiled, place in a cooler place or refrigerate.
